We are three hectare Permaculture farm located in Alausi, Ecuador in the central Andean foothills, province of Chimborazo @ 2,340  meters.
Our overall mission is to create an abundant food security ecosystem that replenishes and recycles itself continuously. Be an example for the region of a poly-culture teaching farm, that produces multiple yields over multiple time intervals (seasons) requiring little maintenance once established.
Our goals are to create a space for community from all over the world, to come together to learn and share knowledge, in permaculture and all related regenerative practices, including topics in health, wellness, art and traditional wisdom. Additionally we hoast retreats realted to these topics, all encompased within a thriving permaculture eco system. We have d
esigned an environment that is in support of the following permaculture ethics: Earth Care, People Care and Return of Surplus.
Finca águila y el cóndor was created on inspiration from the prophecy of the eagle & the condor. It states that back in human history, societies divided and took different paths: that of the condor of the South (representing the heart, intuitive and mystical) and that of the eagle of the North (representing the brain, rational and material). The prophesy said the two paths would seperate and the eagle would nearly drive the condor to the verge of extinction. Then, five hundred years later, in the 1990's, a new epoch would begin - one in which the condor and the eagle will have the opportunity to reunite and be in harmonious relationship again. We humbly support the phophecy's meaning and mission, to spread and share knowledge between people from North and South America.
